Lawrence Wins Eighth of Season Wednesday

MANCHESTER, NH - Casey Lawrence allowed one earned run in seven innings and evened his record at 8-8 as the Fisher Cats used a seven-run third inning to beat Trenton 7-3 on Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

The Fisher Cats (42-41) were down 1-0 when they matched the biggest inning of the season. They sent ten batters to the plate, scoring seven times. New Hampshire six hits in the frame including a double by Ian Parmley which started the frame, and a two-run double by Dwight Smith Jr. Trenton made three errors in the inning.

Kyle Haynes (LP: 1-6) took the loss for Trenton (47-38), working six innings, allowing ten hits. Four of the runs were earned. He struck out three.

Lawrence, in beating the Thunder for the fourth time in 2015 (in five starts), allowed three runs, one earned. He allowed seven hits, walked two and struck out four. Colt Hynes worked two scoreless innings in relief to finish up the win for New Hampshire.
