Baysox Recognize Women in Sports

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today Women in Sports Night with postgame fireworks presented by Dataprise at Prince George's Stadium Saturday, July 18, as the team takes on the Harrisburg Senators at 6:35 p.m. The night will feature appearances by former ladies of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and other local women sports teams and organizations.
The former ladies of the AAGPBL scheduled to appear Saturday night include: Sarah "Salty" Ferguson, JoAnne McComb, Ruth Kramer Hartmann and Virginia Ventura Manina. They will be joined by representatives from other local sports teams to be honored on the field before the game and will be available for autographs and photos on the stadium concourse during the game.
Women's sports organization scheduled to attend the event include: DC Divas football, Baltimore Nighthawks football, Charm City Roller Girls, Eastern Women's Baseball Conference and Chesapeake Bay Lightning hockey.
