Royals Notes:

v The Royals went 2-2-0 in the four games played this past week. Reading's record is now 23-9-2=48, which places the Royals in second place in the North Division of the American Conference and translates into a .706 win percentage-which is tied for the fourth best win percentage in the league.

v Three of Reading's four games this week were played at home. The Royals won one of those games and lost the other two.

- The loss to the Wheeling Nailers at the Sovereign Center last Tuesday extended the Royals' home winless streak to a season high five games (0-4-1).

- The home winless streak for Reading was snapped in the 4-2 win over Wheeling on Saturday night, which was the first home victory for the Royals since December 10, when Reading beat the Long Beach Ice Dogs, 4-3.

- The Royals are 10-6-1 at home this season.

v The four goals separating the Royals and the Wheeling Nailers in the 5-1 loss last Tuesday is the largest margin of defeat that Reading has suffered this season.

v The Royals' offense was held to one goal by the Nailers on Tuesday, marking only the third game this season that Reading has scored one goal or less.

- Over the course of the season, Reading has scored 134 goals in the 34 games, a 3.94 goals per game average, which is second overall in the ECHL in that category.

v The Royals' lone goal last Tuesday was scored by Dany Roussin at the 6:27 mark of the second period, while the Royals were skating on a five-on-three power play, to make the score 5-1, Wheeling, and break up the Nailers' bid at the shutout.

- Roussin also scored the Royals' first goal (the first of the game, while the Royals were on the power play) and assisted on Reading's third goal (by Stuart Kerr) in the Royals' 4-3 win in Johnstown on Friday night.

- In Reading's 4-2 win on Saturday against the Wheeling Nailers, Roussin scored back to back third period power play goals-the second of which proved to be the game winner (his second game winner of the season).

- Saturday's two goal performance for Roussin was the first multi-goal performance of his professional career.

- In Sunday's 4-3 loss to Toledo, Roussin assisted on two of the Royals' three goals marking his third consecutive multi-point game.

- Roussin is currently riding a four game point streak (4g - 3a = 7pts).

- Over the course of his eighteen games with Reading this season, Roussin has scored eleven goals and assisted on eight others (nineteen points), and seven of his eleven goals have come in his last nine games.

- Nine of Roussin's eleven goals (and eleven of his nineteen points) for the Royals have been scored while the team was playing with the man advantage. He currently leads Reading in that category.

v In Friday's 4-3 win, the Royals' second goal was scored by Stuart Kerr at the 13:20 mark of the first period to tie the score at two.

- The goal on Friday was the second in the professional career of Kerr, who leads the Royals in plus/minus, playing at a +17 through thirty games with Reading.

v The Royals' third goal, which tied the score at three, in Reading's 4-3 win over Johnstown on Friday night was scored by Doug Christiansen at the 6:16 mark of the third period, while the Royals were on the power play.

- Christiansen also assisted on two of the Royals' other goals in Friday's 4-3 win (the game's first by Dany Roussin and the game winner by Grant Jacobsen), marking Christiansen's second three point performance of the season for Reading.

- Christiansen also picked up an assist on the Royals' game winner in Saturday's 4-2 win over Wheeling.

- In Sunday's 4-3 loss to Toledo, Christiansen scored a goal (the Royals' second to make the score 3-2, Toledo, at the 19:08 mark of the second period) and assisted on another (the Royals' first by Jeff State 32 seconds into the game).

- Christiansen has had nine multi-point performances in his 30 games for the Royals this year.

- Christiansen leads the Royals with seventeen goals and is second in points on the team with 31 (17g - 14a = 31 pts).

- Although Christiansen had a ten game personal point streak snapped in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to Wheeling, he is currently riding a three game point streak (2g - 4a = 6pts), and he has had ten goals and nine assists (nineteen points) in his last fourteen games.

v The Royals' fourth-and game winning-goal on Friday night was scored by Grant Jacobsen at the 7:39 mark of the third period to break a 3-3 tie.

- Friday's goal proved to be Jacobsen's third game winner of the season, placing him in the team lead amongst active players on the Royals' roster in this category. (Mike Pandolfo also had three game winners before leaving the Royals for Europe.)

- Jacobsen also added an empty net goal with twenty seconds remaining in the Royals' 4-2 win over Wheeling on Saturday night.

- Seven of Jacobsen's nine goals this season have been scored on the road.

v In Friday's 4-3 win over Johnstown, Chris Bala assisted on two of the Royals' goals-the game's first by Dany Roussin and the game winner by Grant Jacobsen.

- In Saturday's 4-2 win over Wheeling, Bala also had two assists-on the Royals' first goal by Graig Mischler and the game tying goal by Dany Roussin in the third period.

- Bala also scored the Royals' third goal at the 15:39 mark of the third period (to make the score 4-3, Toledo) in Sunday's loss to the Storm.

- Bala is currently riding a ten game point streak for the Royals (6g -10a = 16pts), and he has had nine goals and ten assists (nineteen points) in his last thirteen games for Reading.

v Mike Kompon was re-assigned by the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) prior to Friday's 4-3 win over Johnstown.

- Kompon picked up two assists in Friday's game-on the Royals' second goal (by Stuart Kerr) and the third goal (by Doug Christiansen), which tied the game at three in the third period.

- Kompon also had two assists in Saturday's 4-2 win over Wheeling-as he picked up helpers on both of Dany Roussin's power play goals (including the game winner) in the third period.

- Kompon has had thirteen multi-point games in the thirty that he has played for Reading this year.

- Kompon also assisted on the Royals second goal (by Doug Christiansen) in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Wheeling.

- Kompon is currently riding the longest active point streak in the ECHL at 17 games (3g - 23a = 26 pts). This seventeen game point streak ties the longest in the league this season. (Barrett Heisten of the Alaska Aces also had a seventeen game point streak from 11/29 - 01/08/06).

- Kompon has 32 assists in 30 games for the Royals this year, and he currently leads the league in that category.

- Kompon is the leading scorer for the Royals with nine goals and thirty-two assists (forty-one points).

v In Friday's 4-3 win over Johnstown, the Royals went two-for-two on the power play, marking the first time this season that Reading's pp unit was "perfect" in the game.

- In Reading's 5-1 loss to Wheeling last Tuesday, the Royals' lone goal was scored while the team was on the power play.

- In Saturday's 4-2 win over Wheeling, all three goals scored by Reading when Wheeling's goaltender was actually in the net (i.e. the Royals' fourth goal was scored into an empty net), were scored while the Royals were on the power play. (Reading went 3-8 on the power play on Saturday.)

- Saturday's game marked the fourteenth time (in 34 games) that the Royals' power play unit has scored two or more goals in a single game.

- On Sunday, Reading's power play was blanked in seven chances with the man advantage, marking the sixth time this season that the Royals' pp has been held off the board.

- Over the course of the season, Reading has scored 46 ppg in 185 chances with the man advantage, a 24.9% scoring ratio, which is ranked first in the ECHL in that category.

v Yutaka Fukufuji was the Royals' goaltender in all four games this week, and he has now played six consecutive games for Reading, going 3-3-0 in those games.

- In Friday's 4-3 win over Johnstown, Fukufuji made 38 stops on the 41 shots he faced, marking the sixth time this season (in thirteen games played for Reading) that he has faced 40 or more shots.

- Fukufuji is 4-1-1 in games where he has faced forty or more shots.

- In Saturday's 4-2 win over Wheeling, Fukufuji picked up his first assist of the season, as he got a helper on the Royals' first goal (by Graig Mischler).

- Fukufuji's overall record with the Royals is 8-4-1, with a 3.07 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.

v In Saturday's 4-2 win over Wheeling, Graig Mischler scored the Royals' first goal (the first of the game), while the Royals were on the power play at the 14:09 mark of the first period.

- This was Mischler's first goal of the season for Reading in only his second game for the team. (Mischler was the leading scorer for the Royals over the last two seasons, and he was recently signed to play on an essentially part-time basis.)

- Sunday's 4-3 loss to Toledo was Mischler's third of the season for Reading, and it is the only game that he has been held off the scoreboard.

v In Sunday's 4-3 loss to Toledo, the Royals' first goal was scored by Jeff State 32 second's into the game.

- This was the first goal of the season for State, who also picked up his first assist of the season on Chris Bala's goal (the Royals' third) at the 15:39 mark of the third period.

- With State's goal, every player who has played more than four games with the Royals' this year has scored at least one goal.

v Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Toledo Storm marked the first time this season that Reading has scored the game's first goal and ended up losing in regulation. The Royals are now 15-1-2 when scoring first.

v In Sunday's game, the Toledo Storm scored two of their four goals on the power play, going 2-5 with the man advantage.

- This marked the ninth time this season that the opposition has scored two or more power play goals against the Royals in a single game.

- The Royals gave up at least one power play goal against in all four games played this week, going eighteen for twenty-three on the kill this week.

- Over the course of the season, the Royals' pk has allowed 34 power play goals against in 211 opportunities for the opposition, an 83.9% kill ratio, which is tied for sixth in the league.

v The Toledo Storm's third goal on Sunday was scored while they were playing short-handed, which was the sixth short-handed goal that Reading has given up this season, placing the Royals tied for thirteenth in that category in the league.
