
Ice Pilots Four Game Winning Streak Ends at Greenville

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots had their four game winning streak come to an end on Monday night losing to the Greenville Grrrowl 8-0 in front of 3,057 fans at the Bilo Center in Greenville, South Carolina.
John Snowden scored the first goal of the game at the 7:06 mark of the first period to give Greenville a 1-0 lead. Tim Sestio scored at the 11:01 mark on a rebound shot to make it 2-0 Grrrowl. Rory McMahon scored at the 17:45 mark for Greenville and Cody Blanshan scored at the 18:33 mark to give Greenville a 4-0 lead after the first period.
Allan Sirois scored on a hard slap shot from on top of the right wing circle that fooled Ice Pilots goalie David Cann to give Greenville a 5-0 lead at the 1:39 mark of the second period. Tim Sestito scored his second of the game at the 14:06 of the second period on a hard shot from the right point inside the blue line that went by Ice Pilots goalie Todd Ford to give Greenville a 6-0 lead. Ford replaced Cann in goal at the 1:39 mark of the second period.
Krys Barch and Colin Pepperall each scored power play goals for the Grrowl in the third period to help give the Grrrowl an 8-0 win.
The Ice Pilots had 35 shots on goal, 4 penalty minutes and went 0-3 on the power play. Greenville had 40 shots on goal, 6 penalty minutes and went 2-2 on the power play. David Cann was the losing goalie for the Ice Pilots and Cam Ellsworth picked up the win in goal for Greenville.
The Ice Pilots dropped their record to 15-19-3 for 33 points. Greenville improved their record to 22-11-1 for 45 points.
The Ice Pilots will continue their road trip on Tuesday at Charlotte with a 6:00 p.m. central time face-off. The pre game show on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network begins at 5:50 p.m. central time.
