CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today that the New York Rangers reassigned right wing Hugh Jessiman to the Hartford Wolf Pack, the Checkers' AHL affiliate. Also, defenseman Bryan Rodney will return to Charlotte after being released from his Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement with the Wolf Pack.
Jessiman, 21, was the first round pick of the New York Rangers, 12th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He skated in 24 games with the Checkers racking up 23 points (13g, 10a). He recorded a hat trick in the Checkers' home opener against South Carolina on November 6th.
Rodney will return to Charlotte after being loaned to the Wolf Pack on January 12th. The 21-year-old rookie notched a goal and was +2 during his two-game stint in Hartford.
