Idaho Steelheads News Release
BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads are at the half-way point of their season, and are holding third spot in the ECHL's National Conference, West Division. Having played 36 of their 72-game season, the team's record, 21-12-3, favors the road - they've gone 12-5-1 on opponents' ice and only 9-7-2 in the confines of Qwest Arena.
The Steelheads are winless in their last four home games (0-3-1) for the first time since joining the ECHL. The only other time the team lost four consecutive games at home was during the 1999-2000 season when the Steelheads were part of the (now defunct) West Coast Hockey League.
The Steelheads will have a chance to snap their home losing streak this coming weekend as they take on the Fresno Falcons for a three-game series - Friday 7:10 pm, Saturday 7:10 pm and Sunday 4:10 pm.
