STORM NOTES

- Winning Again! By virtue of its 2-1-0 record this past week, Toledo is 5-1-1 over the last seven games. The Storm has also won 4 of its last 5 road games (4-1-0).

- Shorthand, Think Not! The Storm scored two shorthanded goals in the three games this past weekend. Scooter Smith scored his third shorty of the season Friday night in Wheeling, and Jeff Attard scored his first Sunday in Reading. Toledo has a total of 4 shorthanded goals this season.

- Lucky 7's! Saturday night in Johnstown was the third time this season that Toledo has scored 7 goals. The Storm scored 7 in games on December 2 (7-3 over Wheeling) and December 11 (7-1 over Johnstown). The last time a Storm team scored 7 or more three times in a season was 2002-03. The 1991-92 Storm scored 7 or more 22 times in a single season.

- Power Play! The Storm Power Play went 0-6 in Friday's game and followed that up with a 2-5 mark on Saturday and Sunday. Only five times this season has the Storm been shutout on the power play. That being said, Toledo is 11-33 following those games (33.3%). For the season, the Storm power play ranks 7th in the ECHL at 20.8%. They have scored 46 goals in 221 power play opportunities.

- Penalty Kill! The Storm is ranked 15th in the league in kill percentage at 81.7%. Toledo has allowed 35 goals in 191 times shorthanded this year. The 81.7% is the highest for the Storm since November 14th, when the Storm was killing 83.1% of times shorthanded.

STORM WATCH

- Storm Coach's Show! The Toledo Storm Coach's Show is this Tuesday evening from 6-7pm at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company inside the Oliver House, Downtown Toledo. Head Coach Nick Vitucci and Storm assistant coach Stan Drulia will join Matt Melzak for insight and conversation on the 2005-06 season and what lies ahead for the Storm. The Storm Coach's Show can be heard live on Dominion 1520 JAMZ, which is the home of Toledo Storm Hockey.

- The Week Ahead! Toledo returns to the home ice this weekend for a pair of games. Friday night, it's the Storm against the Johnstown Chiefs. The first 500 kids 12 and under will receive Toledo Storm Thunder sticks. Following the game, Josh Boyd and the VIP Band will play a post-game concert. The Storm has a 4-1-0 record and has scored 11 power play goals in 39 opportunities (28.2%) against the Chiefs this season. Saturday night the Storm will play host to the Wheeling Nailers. Following that contest, Misguided Youth will be on the Riverdome lounge stage. Toledo is 3-2-1 against the Nailers this season.

- Bracken Kearns has 5 goals in his last 4 home games which is tied for the longest current home streak in the ECHL and has assists in 5 straight home games
- Todd Jackson has assists in 8 straight home contests
- Jon Ames scored his first professional goal Saturday night in Johnstown; he also had an assist that night
- Scooter Smith has 2 goals and 2 assists in the last three games
- All-Star Gerry Burke has a goal and an assist in the past two games
- Josh Zavitz leads the Storm in plus/minus with a plus 7

Chris scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's 4-3 win at Reading.

Drew MacIntyre (2-0-0, 3.00 gaa, 0.900 save%)
Drew made some an unbelievable saves over the weekend, including stopping a Justin Kelly breakaway in Johnstown.
