The Rox got the scoring started with a home run off the bat of Jordan Barth (Augustana). His first homer of the season was a two-run blast that gave the Rox the early lead after being no-hit through the first three innings.

Otto Kemp (Point Loma Nazarene) followed up in the fifth inning with a home run of his own, a three-run shot out to left-center field. The all-star now leads the team with 23 RBI's and is tied for the team lead with three home runs this season.

In his first start on the mound, Dakota Hawkins (Washington State) was flawless through five innings. After retiring the first 15 batters he faced, Hawkins ran into trouble in the sixth, giving up four runs, but keeping the lead at 5-4.

St. Cloud pulled away with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to get the lead to six runs. Six consecutive Rox hitters came to the plate and recorded a hit, including an RBI single from Jack Steil (Nebraska), who made his debut on Tuesday evening.

Josh Gainer (Long Island-Brooklyn) continued his stellar season with two more scoreless innings. Gainer has yet to allow an earned run this season in 12 and two-thirds innings pitched while striking out 22 opposing batters.

The Rox head on the road on Wednesday for a double-header with the Mankato MoonDogs at ISG Field. First pitch in game one is scheduled for 12:05 pm, while game two will start at 6:35 pm. St. Cloud returns to the Rock Pile for the first of two games with the Bismarck Larks on Thursday evening.
