BANK SHOT: Nick Banks continued his hot start to the season, hitting a home run for the second game in a row...the last time Banks hit a home run in back-to-back games was in 2021 with Double-A Harrisburg when he went deep in three straight games from 7/10-7/13... Banks has hit safely in 16 of the 17 games he has played so far, with his only hitless game coming on April 24, against Lehigh Valley.

JEFRY THE JEFE: Right-handed pitcher Jefry Rodriguez tallied his longest outing of the season, going 5 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and giving up no runs, while striking out three...while his strikeout numbers were lower than his previous start against Syracuse, where he punched out nine in just 4 1/3 innings, he commanded the strike zone much better, throwing 43 of his 53 pitches for strikes, and allowing no walks.

PUSHIN P(ALACIOS): With his first inning single off of Wesneski, outfielder Josh Palacios extended his hitting streak to six games. during this streak, he is 8-for-23 since April 26...since joining the Red Wings on April 16, Palacios leads the Red Wings in batting average (.366), RBI (14), and walks (7), and he is tied for first in doubles (3).

A RING AND A SAVE: Prior to tonight's game Carl Edwards Jr. was awarded with a World Series ring for his contributions to the 2021 Atlanta Braves...then he came in and worked a one-two-three inning, striking out two and earning a save.

SCRANTON/WB NOTES:
