Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that defensemen Eric Lundberg and Nate Kiser have both been signed to professional tryout agreements.

Lundberg, 22, has three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 35 games with the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL during the 2005-06 season. He also went scoreless with five shots on goal in two match-ups with the Syracuse Crunch earlier this year. The Vernon, Connecticut native attended Providence College and was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche with their third choice (94th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Kiser, 23, posted four assists along with 86 penalty minutes in 30 games with the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays this season. He skated in five games with the Portland Pirates during the 2004-05 campaign along with 58 contests with the Stingrays. The 6-1, 207-pound rearguard has played in 162 games as a professional since being drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes with their fifth choice (160th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

The River Rats continue their season-long seven game homestand tonight in a 7:00pm contest against the Portland Pirates at Pepsi Arena. The club returns to the ice Saturday night when the Philadelphia Phantoms come to town for a 7:00pm face-off. The contest will be followed by a post-game skate with the players for all Hannaford Kids Club members.

The Albany River Rats, owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., are in their 13th American Hockey League campaign and serve as the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils.
