Ontario Reign News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, fell to the Las Vegas Wranglers, 2-1, for the second consecutive night. The second match in the weekend's three-game back-to-back series saw 4,209 fans in the stands at Orleans Arena on Friday evening.

Right wing Ryan Weston gave the Wranglers an early 1-0 lead over the Reign on the first shot of the game at 1:50 in the opening period. Weston's slap shot from the left circle went top-shelf over Ontario goaltender Curtis Darling, and forward Jerry Pollastrone and defenseman Jason Krischuk registered the assists.

After a scramble in front of the net and two Wranglers attempts that were saved by Darling, defenseman Barry Goers picked up a rebound and smashed the loose puck up and over the sprawled goaltender from a sharp angle at the left of the net at 18:03.

Michael Pelech finally got the Reign on the board with a goal at 9:59 in the third period. Center Jordan Nolan picked up his first professional point with one of the assists on the tally, while defenseman David Walker recorded the other.

Curtis Darling skated to the bench with 50 seconds remaining on the clock in regulation for the extra attacker, but Ontario was unable to find the equalizer before time ran out. Las Vegas took the win with a final score of Wranglers 2, Reign 1.
