ROSTER UPDATE:
The Condors signed rookie RW Jason Weeks today. The Seattle, WA, native recently wrapped up his college career at Canisius College (Buffalo, NY), where he is the school's all-time Division I goal-scoring leader... RW Jason Dale was activated from 21-IR today, while D Jordan Collins was signed after being released on Tuesday... C MacGregor Sharp and D Stu Bickel were reassigned to San Antonio (AHL) by Anaheim on Thursday. They were both sent to the Condors on Tuesday... F Jean-Marc Beaudoin was signed on Tuesday...
F Mark Voakes (7-IR), C Maxime Macenauer (3-IR), D Chris Brooks (21-IR) and RW Ryan Donally (21-IR) all remain on injured reserve.
THE MATCHUP:
The Condors and Steelheads close up the regular season with two games this weekend. Bakersfield ha s won just one of the five previous meetings of the seas
on series, and that victory came on the road in Boise. Former Condor and 1st Team All ECHL LW Mark Derlago has torched Bakersfield for 14 points (6g-8a) in five games, while All-Rookie Team G Richard Bachman is 3-0-0 against the Condors, although he is currently on reassignment to the AHL. F Andrew Ianiero is the Condors scoring leader in the series with four points (1g-3a) in five games, and RW Erick Lizon has 52 of his 200 penalty minutes against Idaho.
THE KELLY CUP PLAYOFFS:
The Condors have clinched their sixth consecutive Kelly Cup Playoff berth, and are looking for their first division title. They can sew it up with two points over their final two games against the Steelheads, or with a regulation loss by Stockton in either of their games at Alaska this weekend and a loss or overtime loss by Las Vegas against Ontario. Only one of the eight National Conference squads will miss the postseason, and Victoria and Ontario are battling for the final spot. The Reign will be eliminated with one more regulation loss, or a Victoria win at home against Utah this weekend.
