DID YOU KNOW?
The Jackals' final home record of 20-9-5-2 (.653) is their best since they joined the ECHL. In 2007-2008, the Jackals went 21-13-0-2 (.611) and in 2008-2009 were 20-11-1-4 (.625) on home ice.
NEXT STOP: FLORIDA
The Jackals have locked up the American Conference's third seed and will play the Florida Everblades in the first round best-of-five series. This season, the Jackals were 2-0 against the Everblades, with victories on Jan. 8 and 9 at First Arena.
The series begins with games 1 and 2 in Florida and then heads back to the Twin Tiers for games 3, 4, and 5. Elmira has never played in Florida, with the first three meetings having taken place at First Arena.
CLOSING IN ON HOCKEY HISTORY
According to the Hockey Hall of Fame, no two brothers have each scored 100 points in the season while playing on the same team at any level of professional hockey. Tyler and Justin Donati have a chance to become the first, as Tyler has reached the century mark and Justin is two-points shy of 100.
