Justin Donati reached and passed 100 points on Friday night at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, N.J., joining twin brother Tyler Donati above the scoring century mark this season. According to the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Donati twins are the first brothers in professional hockey history to each score 100 points on the same team in the same season. The Jackals lost the game, 5-3, to the Trenton Devils who were eliminated from playoff contention on Friday night by virtue of a Reading Royals win.

The Devils started the scoring with a goal at 14:41 of the first period from Dan Eves, who knocked in a rebound off a Justin Pender shot to give Trenton a 1-0 advantage.

Justin Donati scored his 99th point of the season when Tyler found him cutting backdoor on the left side and Justin beat Devils goaltender Dave Caruso stick side to tie the game 1-1 at 17:59 of the first.

The Devils added two goals before the first period's final buzzer. Jack Combs lifted a goal top shelf past Jackals goaltender Chris Holt at 18:57, and Dan Eves slapped a puck in from the red line which took a bad hop before reaching Holt and then bounced past him at 19:56 to give the Devils a 3-1 lead. Ryan Ginand cut in front from the right goal line and pushed the puck through Holt's pads at 3:32 of the second period to up the Devils' lead to 4-1.

The record-setting play occurred at 16:49 of the second period. Justin Donati skated from the left wing side to the end boards and fed the puck in front for Thomas Beauregard who knocked the puck past Caruso to give Justin his 100th point of the season. The goal was the fourth in the last three games for Beauregard and his 39th this season.

At 3:03 of the third period, Jeremy Akeson's shot from the left circle was tipped past Holt to give the Devils a 5-2 lead.

Justin added a power-play goal at 15:31, taking a rebound off a blocked shot from a bid by Tyler Donati and knocking it past Caruso. The goal was Justin's 41st and his 101st point of the season, while Tyler's league-leading total increased to 112.

Holt made 40 saves on 45 shots, falling to 9-5-1-0. Caruso improved to 21-20-1-0 with a 14-save performance.

With the victory, the Devils had kept themselves in the hunt for the American Conference's final playoff spot but the Nailers gave away a 6-3 third-period lead to the Royals who earned two points at WesBanco Arena with a 7-6 shootout win. The Jackals' record dropped to 36-26-6-3, while the Devils' record increased to 33-29-4-5.

The East-Division champion Jackals head to Johnstown for their final regular season game on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The game is the final one for the Chiefs at Cambria County War Memorial Arena before they move to Greenville, S.C.
