Hotham, Hartlieb Return from Rochester

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that defensemen Scott Hotham and Ernie Hartlieb have been returned from the AHL's Rochester Americans. In addition, left wing Mathieu Roy has been extended from the seven-day injured reserve to 21 days; while defenseman Mike Bayrack's IR assignment has also been extended from the three to seven days.

Rookie Scott Hotham has returned to Florida after ten days on loan to American Hockey League Affiliate the Rochester Americans. The St. Mary's University alumnus has appeared in nine games for the Amerks, recording two goals and six penalty minutes. Twenty-five-year-old Hotham has appeared in 61 games for Florida, recording 31 points (5g, 26a) and 50 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman ranks 1st in power-play assists (18) among rookies and 3rd in power-play points (22). He also ranks third amongst ECHL defenseman in power-play assists (18).

Also returning from Rochester is Everblades veteran Ernie Hartlieb. The 30-year-old, who spent two days with the Amerks, has been recalled multiple times this season, appearing in nine games total and recording four points (2g, 2a). In Florida, the 6-foot-2, 210 pound right winger has skated in 65 games, recording 38 points (12g, 26a) and 79 penalty minutes. The Michigan native also holds the record for most games played in an Everblades sweater, last month surpassing former Everblade Brent McDonald's record of 311.

Roy, 23, suffered an upper body injury on Tuesday night in the ‘Blades 6-2 loss to Charlotte. The Amos, Quebec native has 13 goals and 13 assists with 83 minutes in penalties in 51 games played this season. Roy was initially placed on the seven-day injured reserve list, but has been extended to the 21-day IR.

Due to a lower body injury, center Mike Bayrack was originally placed on the three-day IR but has now been extended to the seven day. The 31-year-old, who was acquired from Gwinnett earlier in the season, has appeared in 19 games for Florida and has recorded 12 points (6g, 6a) and 20 penalty minutes.
