Royals Announce Potential Playoff Dates

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the game dates for the potential first round playoff matchups in the ECHL's American Conference. The Royals, who clinched the final open playoff spot in the American Conference with a 7-6 shootout win in Wheeling on Friday, are currently in seventh place in the American Conference. Depending on how tomorrow's games come out on the final day of the regular season, Reading will finish in either seventh or eighth place in the conference and, thus will face either the first or second seed, which is yet to be determined and could be any one of four different teams-Charlotte Checkers, Kalamazoo Wings, South Carolina Stingrays, or Cincinnati Cyclones. Fans can purchase tickets to the Royals home playoff games beginning tomorrow at 10 am at either the Royals' office (645 Penn Street, Third Floor, Reading; 610-898-7825) or the Sovereign Center Box Office.

The potential first round playoff match-ups for Reading are as follows:

The Royals complete the 72 game regular schedule tomorrow (Saturday, April 3, 2010 @ 7:05) when the team hosts Fan Appreciation Night against the Trenton Devils at the Sovereign Center in Reading. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 7:05 pm.
