Rampage Fall 2-1 in Shootout in Milwaukee Friday

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin - (November 7, 2008) - The San Antonio Rampage carried a lead to the final minute of regulation time, but fell 2-1 in a shootout to the Milwaukee Admirals at the Bradley Center on Friday night.

Neither team score in the first period as the Admirals out shot the Rampage 11-5.

San Antonio began to dominate play in the second period. The Rampage took the lead when they caught the Admirals in a bad change which led to a two-on-none rush.

Forward Chad Kolarik led the jailbreak and sent a pass backdoor for forward Enver Lisin who one-timed the puck into the net at 3:59 for a 1-0 lead. It was the first goal for Lisin since coming down from the Phoenix Coyotes. Moments later Rampage goalie Josh Tordjman came up with a big right pad save on Admirals' defenseman Cody Franson to protect the San Antonio advantage.

The Admirals tied the game late in the third period. With time winding down and the net empty Milwaukee scored when defenseman Alexander Sulzer swatted in a rebound with just 10.9 seconds to go in regulation time.

Neither team scored in overtime and the game went to a shootout. In the shootout session the Admirals scored on two of four chances while the Rampage were stopped on all four chances. FINAL SCORE Milwaukee 2, San Antonio 1 in a shootout.

Tordjman stopped 25 of 26 in 65 minutes, including two of four in the shootout, but fell to 1-3-0. Drew MacIntyre turned aside 18 of 19 shots in 64:08 of work and all four in the shootout to improve to 4-3-1. Each team was 0-4 on the shootout.

The Rampage return home on Saturday and Sunday night against the Quad City Flames at 7 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively at the AT&T Center. Fans can take advantage of the Express News Value Night on Saturday, getting a game ticket, hot dog, soda and a bag of chips for just $15. Sunday fans can skate on the AT&T Center ice prior to the game at 3 p.m. Also Sunday is an Express-News Family Value Night where for $12 they can get a game ticket, hot dog, soda and a bag of chips.
