San Jose Sharks Announce Roster Moves

Worcester Sharks News Release


SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has assigned LW Jamie McGinn to the Worcester Sharks and recalled goaltender Thomas Greiss (GRYCE) and forward Brad Staubitz.

Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov is day-to-day with a lower body injury.

Greiss has a 4-5-0 record with Worcester this season, posting a 3.22 goals-against average and an .860 save percentage.

Staubitz has played in two games with Worcester this season, posting six penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut this season on Oct. 17 at Anaheim. In three games with San Jose, he has no points.

McGinn made his NHL debut with the Sharks on Oct. 28 against Pittsburgh. In his second NHL game, he scored two points (1-1=2) against the Detroit Red Wings and scored the game-winning goal on Nov. 4 vs. Minnesota. In five games, he has three points (2-1=3). In six games with Worcester, McGinn tied for the team lead in points (4-1=5) and was first on the team in goals at the time of his recall.

The Sharks travel to Hartford (Friday, November 7th) and Binghamton (Saturday, November 8th) before returning home to face the Springfield Falcons on Veteran's Day (Tuesday, November 11th) at 1:05pm.
