The West Virginia Power beat the Delmarva Shorebirds 11-3 on Tuesday night at Appalachian Power Park. The Power scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back in the series finale.

West Virginia sent seven men to the plate in the bottom of the first before Delmarva recorded an out. Shorebird starter Jarret Martin walked four in the inning and was pulled after ten batters and just two outs. Justin Howard, Chase Lyles, and Elias Diaz all drove in runs as the Power built a 6-0 edge after one.

Tyler Waldron was effective over six innings, allowing just three hits while walking two and striking out two. West Virginia added a run to its lead in the fifth inning, and tacked on two more in the six when Rogelio Noris hit his fifth home run of the season; a two-run shot to extend the advantage to 9-0.

Delmarva broke the shutout against the Power bullpen in the seventh inning when Mychal Givens doubled in a run. West Virginia added two runs in the eighth, and the Shorebirds capped the scoring at 11-3 with two more runs in the top of the ninth.

Waldron (5-2) earned the win with his fourth six-inning start of the year, while Martin (2-3) suffered the loss. Eight of the nine Power batters had at least one hit, led by Andy Vasquez with three, while five different players had multi-hit games.

Noris's home run was his 20th as a member of the West Virginia roster spanning two years, and ties him with Kyle Morgan for third most in Power history. Noris trails Kenny Holmberg by two and Stephen Chapman by four atop the career leader list.

The Power have Wednesday off and travel to take on the BlueClaws in Lakewood on Thursday evening. West Virginia returns home to start a four game homestand on June 16.
