Penguins Recall Kraft from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins today recalled center Milan Kraft from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The announcement was made by Penguins' General Manager Craig Patrick.

Kraft, 22, has played in eight games this season with the Penguins, recording seven points (2+5). He leads the team in scoring and is tied for first on the team in assists.

The 6'4", 214-pound native of Plzen, Czech Republic was drafted by the Penguins in the first round (23rd overall) of the 1998 Entry Draft. Kraft has played in 110 career games with the Penguins, recording 30 points (15+15) and 24 penalty minutes. In 56 career games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Kraft has recorded 59 points (27+32) and 39 penalty minutes.

With today's roster move, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have 22 players on their roster - two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards.

The Penguins visit the Binghamton Senators tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The Penguins' next home game is on Sunday (November 3), when they host the Utah Grizzlies (5:05 p.m. start).
