Sound Tigers defeat Flames 6-3

Saint John, NB - The Saint John Flames hosted the Bridgeport Sound Tigers tonight in the first of back-to-back games at Harbour Station. Bridgeport's opened the scoring with a goal by Martin Chabada 3:57 into the first period and the Sound Tigers never looked back. The Sound Tigers added another goal from Mattias Weinhandl before the end of the first, taking a 2-0 lead to the dressing room. Trent Hunter gave Bridgeport a three goal lead early in the second before Steve Montador put Saint John on the board. Early in the third period, Ryan Christie brought the Flames to within one but that was as close as the Flames would ever get. Blaine Down and Micki DuPont exchanged goals 10 seconds apart midway through the final frame and Matt Higgins and Marco Charpentier added two final goals on the powerplay to end the game.
