WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins today reassigned defenseman Darcy Robinson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) to Wheeling (ECHL), according to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Head Coach Glenn Patrick.

Robinson, 21, split last season between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and their East Hockey League affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers. He recorded five assists and 35 penalty minutes in 40 games with the Penguins and had five points (2+3) and 43 penalty minutes in 10 games with the Nailers.

The 6'5", 222-pound native of Kamloops, British Columbia was selected by Pittsburgh in the eighth round (233rd overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Robinson will report to Wheeling today and is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Nailers (3-7-0) visit the Reading Royals (5-5-0) at 7:05 p.m. at the Sovereign Center.

With today's roster move, the Penguins have 21 players on their roster - two goaltenders, six defensemen and 13 forwards.

The Penguins visit the Binghamton Senators tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The Penguins' next home game is on Sunday (November 3), when they host the Utah Grizzlies (5:05 p.m. start).
