Baumgartner reassigned to Manitoba

Today the Vancouver Canucks announced that defenceman Nolan Baumgartner has been reassigned to the Manitoba Moose.

Baumgartner, 26, started the 2002-03 season with Manitoba. He played in two AHL matches while recording one goal (on the power play) and one assist for two points and four penalty minutes. The 6'1" defenceman also fired four shots during the two games. Baumgartner had played in five NHL games this season with Vancouver and tallied one assist with two penalty minutes and two shots.

Last season, he played in 76 games for the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL, recording 10 goals, 24 assists for 34 points and 72 penalty minutes. The Calgary, AB native signed as a free agent with the Canucks on July 9, 2002.

Baumgartner was originally assigned to Manitoba on October 9.
