Griffins Serve it Up for Special Olympics

Grand Rapids, MI - The Grand Rapids Griffins will join forces with Max & Erma's Restaurants this Monday, Nov. 4, to raise money for Special Olympics. Ten Griffins players will serve as celebrity waiters and bartenders from 6:00-8:00 p.m. that night at the restaurant's two Grand Rapids area locations: 3940 Rivertown Parkway SW in Grandville (next to Rivertown Crossings Mall), and 3191 28th Street SE in Kentwood (in Woodland Mall).

Paul Ballantyne, Derek King, Tomas Kopecky, Dave Van Drunen and one additional player will man the Grandville location, while Bryan Adams, Ryan Barnes, Patrick Boileau, Ed Campbell and Tim Skarperud will serve patrons in Kentwood. All tips received by the Griffins, along with all proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets for Griffins merchandise and Max & Erma's prizes, will be donated to Special Olympics (Area 11-Kent & Barry counties).
