(PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 1, 2002) - Casey Hankinson recorded a goal and an assist to lead the Norfolk Admirals to a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phantoms tonight at the First Union Spectrum.

Hankinson scored the first goal of the game and assisted on the game-winner by Kent Huskins as Norfolk improved to 7-0-1-2 on the season. Goaltender Craig Andersson finished with 23 saves for the Admirals, who had also defeated Philadelphia at home last Friday, 3-2.

Guillaume Lefebvre scored the lone goal and Neil Little stopped 25 shots for the Phantoms, who fell to 3-4-1. Philadelphia is now 9-9-1-1 all-time vs. Norfolk heading into back-to-back games against the Admirals next Thursday and Friday.

Hankinson gave Norfolk a 1-0 lead 5:26 into the game after Lefebvre was sent off for elbowing. Little bobbled the original shot by former Phantom Peter White and Hankinson was there to knock it in for his fifth goal of the season.

Lefebvre evened the score with 8:03 left in the second period. Mark Greig started the play by slapping the puck behind the net. Andre Savage did a nice job of fending off an Admirals defenseman to maintain possession and eventually centered it to Lefebvre, who one-timed it past Andersson for his second of the year.

But the Admirals went back ahead 2-1 with 5:07 left in the period during a 5-on-3 situation. Eight seconds after John Slaney received a cross checking penalty, Hankinson and Burke Henry worked the puck to Huskins, who netted his first goal of the season with a line drive over Little's left shoulder.

The Phantoms are back in action on Saturday when they travel to take on the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Philadelphia then hosts the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 11:05 a.m. during the team's first School Day Game.

Phantoms Notes: Gervase Peterson, one of the original stars of the television show Survivor, dropped the opening puck ... Defenseman Dan Peters sat out the game after suffering a minor concussion during Wednesday's win at Syracuse ... Greig has eight points (5G, 3A) in eight games this season.
