
P-Bruins Fall To Sharks 4-3

Worcester, MA - The Providence Bruins fell to the Worcester Sharks 4-3 Saturday evening at the DCU Center. The P-Bruins got their goals from Zach Hamill and two goals from Levi Nelson. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday at 4:05 p.m. for Jumbo Card Night against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
The Sharks took a 1-0 advantage at the 11:32 mark of the opening period. Michael Wilson tallied his fourth goal of the season, while Jamie McGinn and T.J. Trevelyan picked up the assists. The P-Bruins tied the game at one at the 15:21 mark. Jamie Arniel stole the puck in the P-Bruins zone and worked it through the neutral zone for Jordan Knackstedt. He passed the puck through the legs of a Sharks defenseman to Nelson cutting towards the net, who tipped the puck in for his second goal of the season. The game went into the first intermission tied at one.
The P-Bruins took their first lead of the game at the 1:05 mark of the second period. Knackstedt stole the puck and passed it to Nelson, who scored from the right face off circle. It was his second goal of the game and third goal of the season. Providence made it 3-1 at the 11:55 mark. Nelson held the puck along the boards and sent it to the front of the net for Knackstedt. He dropped it back for Hamill, who scored from the slot, his sixth goal of the season. Worcester pulled within a goal at the 16:02 mark, while on the power play. Derek Joslin netted his first goal of the season, with Dan DaSilva and Brandon Mashinter recording the assists. Providence led 3-2 going into the second intermission.
Worcester tied the game at three at the 17:19 mark of the third period. Steven Zalewski scored his 13th goal of the season, while Logan Couture and Joslin grabbed the assists. The Sharks took the lead at the 18:08 mark. Andrew Desjardins tallied his tenth goal of the season, while Wilson and DaSilva had the assists. The Sharks went on to the 4-3 victory.
Dany Sabourin stopped 51 of 55 shots for the P-Bruins, while Alex Stalock made 19 saves for the Sharks. The P-Bruins were 0-for-1 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
