River Rats Release Marc Cavosie From PTO

ALBANY, NY-The Albany River Rats announced today that forward Marc Cavosie has been released from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO). Cavosie, 28, had one assist in two games for the River Rats. The Cohoes, NY, native also has 12 points (4-8-12) this season with the Reading Royals of the East Coast Hockey League and two points (0-2-2) with the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters.

A former Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute standout, Cavosie started last season with the River Rats on a PTO and tallied four assists in 11 games, before signing with the Binghamton Senators and totaling 23 points (10-13-23) in 64 games. Minnesota's fourth round pick (99th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry draft is in his eighth professional season.
