August 25, 2019 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Reno Aces News Release

Reno, NV. - The Aces were in special Harry Potter themed jerseys tonight, but it was the Bees who had the magic. Salt Lake came out on top Saturday night by a score of 11-7. The game was all knotted up at four by the fifth inning. That's when Bees' shortstop Nick Franklin stung the Aces for a go-ahead double that scored Jarrett Parker. The game remained close till Salt Lake pushed across six runs in the ninth inning. Reno made a comeback attempt in the bottom half of the ninth with RBIs from Carlos Asuaje, Abraham Almonte, and Domingo Leyba but it wasn't enough. Six of the nine starters for the Bees had at least two hits while eight of nine had at least one run scored in the contest. Marc Rzepczynski earned the loss for the home club while starter Jason Alexander won it for the away team. He went six innings allowing four runs on nine hits to go with four strikeouts. Greater Nevada Field will host one more Aceball game tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. with a starter yet to be announced.

Notes & Information

Position Player Pitching: Infielder Wyatt Mathisen recorded the final out of the top of the ninth inning by striking out Jarrett Parker. It was Mathisen's first career strikeout and third career pitching appearance. We are going to go out on a limb and say his future isn't on the mound. This year he's given up nine runs in 2.1 innings of work.
