More Changes to Grrrowl Roster

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced that rookie forward RAE METZ (F) has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve list with a hamstring injury, and JEFF MEAD (Center) has signed an ECHL contract with the club.
JEFF MEAD (5-10, 165lb., center) is a player with a great deal of professional experience, in the US and overseas. Mead played the 2002-03 season with the Geleen Smoke Eaters in Holland, scoring 17 points (4 goals, 13 assists) in 28 games. This will not be the first experience in the ECHL, as he played with Johnstown, Pensacola and Jacksonville from 1995-96 through the 1996-97 seasons. Jeff's best offensive year came while playing for the Waldkraiburg EHC in the GerD2 league, when he totaled 64 points (34 goals, 30 assists) in 46 games during the 1997-98 season. The 32-year-old Mead is a 1994 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where he competed for four years. Mead will wear #14 when the Grrrowl visit Augusta on Friday evening.
Greenville will be on the road for a 7:35pm game with the Augusta Lynx at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center on Friday, December 12th, before returning home for the weekend contests against South Carolina and Roanoke.
