Lynx Sign Two To Bolster Roster
December 11, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release
With several players called up to the American Hockey League, and some nagging injuries, the Augusta Lynx announced two signings on Thursday with the addition of forwards Erik Jensen and Mike Murray.
Jensen and Murray, both 24, will join the team in time for Friday night's game against Greenville at 7:35 pm. Jensen, a Madison, WI native, played four years at the University of Wisconsin from 1999-00 to 2002-03, amassing 15 goals and 35 points in 130 games. Jensen played three games with Fresno this season, earning no points and registering zero penalty minutes and a-1 rating.
Murray comes to the Lynx after four years at Dartmouth College where he notched 23 goals and 71 points in 125 games. The Dover, Massachusetts native also spent time in the ECHL last season with Reading (2 games) and Cincinnati (2 games), before playing 10 games with the Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League this year. While in Richmond, Murray had a goal and two points along with no penalty minutes.
Both players will suit up for the Lynx Friday night against the Greenville Grrrowl, and stay with the team through Saturday's game against Gwinnett, and Sunday's matinee effort in Florence. Game times for Friday and Saturday are 7:35 pm, and Sunday is a 2:30 pm faceoff. Tickets for these and all home games may be purchased through the Civic Center Box Office, or through all TicketMaster outlets, on line at www.TicketMaster.com, or charge by phone at (706) 828-7700. Seats are $8, $10, $12, with discounts available for military personnel, students with valid ID, and seniors.
