
Blades Hold Teddy Bear Toss Saturday Night

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades will hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss this Saturday night as the Everblades host southern division rival Columbia Inferno at 7:30 PM. Fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to toss on to the ice after the Blades score their first goal. Last year, Everblades fans tossed over 3,000 bears on to the ice. The entire Everblades team will deliver the bears to the Children's Hospital at Health Park in Fort Myers next Wednesday afternoon and to a number of other charities throughout the holiday season. In related news, Saturday's game will also be televised on UPN-8. Mark Miller will return to the broadcast booth to handle the television play-by-play and former Blades forward Tom Buckley will handle the color commentary. The game will also be broadcast on Sportsradio 770 AM, inside the arena on 96.5 and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com, www.abc-7.com, and www.nbc-2.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Dan Guenther calling the play-by-play and Ken Schinkel handling the color commentary. Friday's game will be broadcast on the Internet only.
