
Davyduke Earns Promotion to Hershey

READING, PA âThe Reading Royals of the ECHL have announced that forward Kent Davyduke has been called up to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. The promotion to the AHL is the first this season for the Saskatoon native.
Davyduke, 24, has appeared in 25 American Hockey League games in his career and racked up three goals and three assists along with nine penalty minutes. Davyduke did appear in 13 games with Manchester, the Royals AHL affiliate, and 12 games with Hershey in 2002-03. This season for the Royals the University of Wisconsin graduate has tallied eight goals and 17 points. Davyduke is first on the Royals in plus/minus rating (+7). He is tied for second in scoring and second in goals scored on the club. Davyduke has appeared in 20 games with Reading this season.
The Royals host a pair of games at the Sovereign Center this weekend. Reading battles the Trenton Titans on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. The Council on Chemical Abuse is providing the first 2,000 fans through the gate with Royals thunderstix. Sunday, Reading plays host to Toledo at 5:05 p.m. Special guests in attendance at the game are from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The kids will be transported to the game on the Royals team bus, enjoy complimentary tickets to the game and a private post-game party with the players.
