Monarchs Sign Ardelan To PTO

Manchester Monarchs News Release
MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, signed defenseman Mark Ardelan to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. Ardelan, 22, appeared in 72 games with the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays during the 2004-05 season, collecting 47 points (15-32=47) and 24 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound native of Avonlea, Saskatchewan, registered one point (0-1=1) and two penalty minutes in one game with the Portland Pirates last season.
Ardelan has been at the ECHL's Reading Royals' training camp since he was released from the Monarchs training camp on October 4, 2005.
The Monarchs head out west for the first time in franchise history as they face-off against the San Antonio Rampage on Friday, October 21 at the SBC Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. (EST). Continuing their trip out west, the Monarchs travel to play the Houston Aeros at the Toyota Center on Saturday, October 22 at 8:35 p.m. (EST).
