The Wolves battled back to tie the game at one apiece late in the second period before dropping their second straight contest against the San Antonio Rampage, 2-1, at the SBC Center Center KEVIN DOELL notched Chicago's lone goal Goaltender GREGG NAUMENKO turned aside 15 of 17 shots in his Wolves debut

After taking an early 2-0 lead, the Wolves allowed three unanswered goals to fall, 3-2, to the San Antonio Rampage at the SBC Center Right wing SCOTT BARNEY notched both Wolves' goals and left wing RAMZI ABID collected two assists Netminder ADAM BERKHOEL recorded 37 saves on 40 shots

SCOTT BARNEY: Held scoreless in back-to-back contests after notching five points in his first two games ... Shares third in the AHL with three power-play goals and 20th with a team-high five points (3G, 2A) ... Posted five goals, 11 points and four penalty minutes in 24 career NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings (2002-2004)

RAMZI ABID: Shares first on the team with three assists and ranks second with four points in four games ... Ranked second on the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins with a career-high 26 goals and shared third with a career-most 55 points in 78 games last season

BRAD LARSEN: Collected his first point of the season with a goal on Saturday against Manitoba ... Accrued career-highs with 26 goals and 49 points in 75 games with Chicago last year ... Tallied a postseason career-most seven assists and 11 points in 18 playoff games last season

TRAVIS ROCHE: Earned his first assist of the season in Saturday's home opener... Ranked third among league defensemen during the regular season with a career-high 50 points in 73 game last season ... Named to the AHL's First All-Star Team last year

KEVIN DOELL: Netted his first goal of the season on Friday against San Antonio ... Posted eight assists, 12 points and 69 penalty minutes in 45 games with Chicago last year ... Registered nine assists, 15 points and 14 penalty minutes in 14 games with Gwinnett last season PAT DWYER: Tallied his first career AHL point with an assist on Saturday ... Registered four assists and eight penalty minutes in 14 games with the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators last year in his pro debut

WOLF TRACKS

The Wolves dropped to 7-4-1-0 all-time in home openers with Saturday's loss against Manitoba, which includes defeats in each of their last three.

Chicago ranks seventh in the AHL defensively, allowing an average of 2.50 goals per game.

The Wolves have lost three straight games: just one shy of matching last year's season-high four-game losing streak (Oct. 30 - Nov. 13).

Chicago was defeated in back-to-back regular-season contests at the Allstate Arena just once last year.

The Wolves will match up against division rival Iowa Stars for the first time in franchise history on Saturday, one of four new teams they will face this season.

GOAL FIGURE

Chicago has recorded four goals in its last three games after collecting five in the season opener against Omaha. The Wolves share 22nd in the AHL with an average of 2.25 goals per game.
