Last night, Tim Brent scored two goals and Nathan Marsters made 25 saves in his AHL debut to lead the Pirates to a 4-2 victory over the Albany River Rats at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Next game: Saturday, October 22nd @ Bridgeport 7:05 p.m.

Next home game: Sunday, October 23rd vs. Lowell 4:05 p.m. After the game, fans can "Skate with the Team." For tickets, call the Civic Center Box Office at (207) 775-3458.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS

Sunday, October 23 vs. Lowell 4:05 p.m. - Sunday will be the first of several "Skate with the Team" events. Fans are invited to bring their skates and skate with the Pirates players after the game.

Saturday, November 12 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton - Gold medalist swimmer and Portland native, Ian Crocker will be at the game to meet fans and promote his new DVD "Unfiltered". Saturday will also be Salvation Army Kettle Kick-off Night.

Saturday, November 19 vs. Providence 7:05 p.m. - U.S. Cellular Night. The first 4,000 fans in the building will receive foam pucks courtesy of U.S. Cellular.

Ticket plans for the 2005-06 season are now on sale at the Pirates office, located at 531 Congress Street in Portland. Ticket plans start at just $50. The office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fans can also purchase tickets over the phone by calling (207) 828-4665 or by e-mailing tickets@portlandpirates.com.

Catch a live interview with Pirates head coach Kevin Dineen tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. with Shoe, Fix and Joe on WJAB 1440AM/95.5FM. Tuesday, October 18th - Pirates players Joel Perrault and Pierre Parenteau will be at the Dunkin' Donuts at 51 Main St. in Westbrook, Maine from 7:00-8:15 a.m.

Wednesday, October 19th - Pirates players Shane Hynes and Kent Huskins will be at the Dunkin' Donuts on 439 Payne Road in Scarborough, Maine from 7:00-8:15 a.m.

Thursday, October 20th - Pirates players Joel Stepp and Igor Pohanka will be at the Dunkin' Donuts in Windham, Maine on 736 Roosevelt Trail from 7:15-8:30 a.m.

Mike Wall made 24 saves and earned his first AHL win.

Saturday, October 15th vs. Providence (5-2 L)

Pirates defenseman Nathan Saunders scored his first AHL goal in the loss.

Sunday, October 16th vs. Albany (4-2 W)

Ryan Shannon and Zenon Konopka both registered points to extend their point streaks to four games.
