Manchester Monarchs News Release
MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, surprised Head Coach Mark Morris over the summer by compiling all of the weekly articles he wrote for the Union Leader during the Monarchs Atlantic Division Championship 2006-2007 season and published a book, Inside Source.
The book is a compilation of 33 articles from the beginning of last season to the post-playoffs wrap-up in May. Morris authored the articles and the Union Leader featured them every Wednesday during the season. Books are being sold in the Monarchs Pro Shop for $16.95 and all proceeds are going to be equally divided among the Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs; the Union Leader Charitable Fund, the charitable arm of the Union Leader; and the Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, the charity of Morris' choice.
"My sincere gratitude to the Manchester Monarchs and the Union Leader for making this venture possible," expressed Morris. "I am flattered and honored to share these articles and short stories in this book. I am hoping the life lessons I've learned over the many years I've coached hockey help to teach and inspire others from all walks of life. The 2006-2007 Monarchs team will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for the memories."
Morris will be signing books following the team's open practice on Wednesday, October 17 from 5:45 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. at Saint Anselm College. Books will be available to purchase at the open practice on Wednesday night.
