
Admirals Swap Goalies with ECHL Mississippi

NORFOLK - Today, Norfolk Admirals General Manager Claude Loiselle announced that the Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned goaltender Jonathan Boutin to the Admirals from the Mississippi Sea Wolves (ECHL). In addition, the Admirals have returned goaltender Morgan Cey on loan to the Sea Wolves.
Boutin, 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, started both of Mississippi's preseason games this past weekend, winning both while stopping 30 of 32 shots for a .938 save percentage. He appeared in 37 games with the Springfield Falcons (AHL) last season, posting a 9-17-1 record with a 3.29 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage. He also played three games with the Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL), going 0-2-0 with a 3.08 GAA and .919 save percentage.
Cey, 6-foot-3 and 177 pounds, appeared in Norfolk's game against Springfield on Sunday afternoon, stopping 17 of 21 shots in 60 minutes of play in his Admirals' debut. He also appeared in one preseason game for Norfolk, stopping seven of ten shots in 20 minutes of action on September 30 in Hershey. Last season, Cey appeared in 47 games for the Johnstown Chiefs, Tampa Bay's former ECHL affiliate. He posted a 20-21-3 record with the Chiefs in 2006-07 with a 2.93 GAA and .916 save percentage.
The Sea Wolves kick off their 2007-08 season on Friday when they visit the Florida Everblades.
The Admirals will come to Scope for the first time in 2007-08 this Friday and Saturday.
