Connecticut Whale News Release
The Wolf Pack earned three out of a possible four points in their first two road games of the season this past weekend. The Pack trailed at Manchester, 3-0 and 4-1, on Friday night, and then roared back to tie the score and earn a standings point in a game that ended in a 5-4 shootout loss. Then on Saturday evening in Syracuse, the Wolf Pack outshot the Crunch by a margin of 46-23 on the way to their first win of the year, a 5-3 verdict. Nigel Dawes shot to the top of the Pack scoring statistics with a goal and four assists in the two games, and 19-year-old Russian-born rookie Artem Anisimov notched the first three goals of his North-American pro career. Those included the tying goal in Friday's game with less than two seconds remaining in the third period.

The Wolf Pack complete a season-high stretch of four straight road games with their first trip to Canada in five seasons. The Pack will visit defending Calder Cup-champion Hamilton on Saturday night (7:00) and make their first-ever trip to Toronto Sunday (4:00).
