Pink In The Rink Game Headlines List Of Bulldogs Three Tilts This Week

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play three games this week, starting in Syracuse on Friday, October 19th at Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter against the Crunch (AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets) at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will then host two games at Copps Coliseum to round out their weekly schedule. On Saturday, October 20th, the 'Dogs will take on the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers) at 7:00 p.m. before a tilt with the Manitoba Moose (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) on "Pink in the Rink" night on Sunday, October 21st at 4:00 p.m.

Last week, Hamilton posted a 1-0-0-1 record in two games versus two North Division rivals. On Friday, October 12th, the Bulldogs dropped a 5-4 decision in a shootout to the Rochester Americans at Copps Coliseum, before rebounding the next night (Saturday, October 13th) at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland with a 6-1 win over the Lake Erie Monsters.

PINK IN THE RINK:

The Hamilton Bulldogs, in conjunction with the Juravinski Cancer Program at Hamilton Health Sciences, will present "Pink in the Rink" on Sunday, October 21st, 2007 when the Bulldogs host the Manitoba Moose at Copps Coliseum at 4:00 p.m.

In the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, fans in attendance at the game will receive pink thundersticks and have an opportunity to purchase pink Bulldogs hats for $20. Proceeds from the sale of "Pink in the Rink" hats will support the new Breast Diagnostic Assessment Unit at Juravinski Cancer Centre.

"Pink in the Rink" Family Packs are also now available for purchase. The pack includes four tickets to any Bulldogs home game in October and two "Pink in the Rink" hats for just $80. This package is only available through the Copps Coliseum box office and a portion of the "Pink in the Rink" Family Pack sales will go to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

BULLDOGS NOTES:

- C Maxim Lapierre accumulated five points last week in two games, including one goal and two assists at home against Rochester and a goal and an assist on the road versus Lake Erie. Lapierre is currently tied for the AHL lead in goals (4), points (8) and plus/minus (+6) through three games this season

- RW Sergei Kostitsyn recorded a goal and an assist in each of the 'Dogs two games last week. Kostitsyn tallied his first-career AHL goal on Friday night and now has five points (2-3-5) in three games this season

- RW Matt D'Agostini registered three points this past week, collecting two goals against Rochester and picking up an assist against Lake Erie

- In his first action of the season, G Yann Danis turned aside all of the 18 shots he faced against Rochester in relief of Jaroslav Halak on Friday night, and picked up his first win of the campaign with 28 saves on 29 shots on Saturday in Lake Erie. Danis now leads the AHL with a 0.60 goals against average and a .979 save percentage

- LW Janne Lahti picked up his first-career AHL point in a two-assist effort on Saturday night

- RW Jonathan Ferland played in his 250th career AHL game in the Bulldogs home opener on Friday night against Rochester

- Montreal G Carey Price earned his first-career NHL win in his first game by defeating Pittsburgh 3-2 (Oct. 10). Price made 26 saves on 28 shots in the contest

- Montreal C Kyle Chipchura played in his first-career NHL game in a 3-2 win against Pittsburgh (Oct. 10). Chipchura logged 12:11 of ice time and recorded two shots on goal

- Dallas C Mike Ribeiro had a goal and two assists in a 5-1 win against Los Angeles (Oct. 10)

- Montreal C Tomas Plekanec had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win against Pittsburgh (Oct. 10)

- New York Islanders D Marc-Andre Bergeron had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win against the New York Rangers (Oct. 10)

- New York Rangers LW Marcel Hossa collected three points this past week, tallying one assist in each of the team's games; a 2-1 loss to the New York Islanders (Oct. 10), a 3-1 win against Washington (Oct. 12) and a 3-1 loss to Ottawa (Oct. 13)

- Columbus D Jan Hejda had two assists in a 3-0 win against Phoenix (Oct. 10)

- Detroit RW Daniel Cleary collected two points this week with an assist in a 4-2 win against Edmonton (Oct. 8) and a goal versus Calgary (Oct. 10) in a 4-2 win

- Columbus LW Jason Chimera had a goal and two assists in a 3-0 win against Phoenix (Oct. 10)

- Anaheim D Francois Beauchemin scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win against Boston (Oct. 10)
