Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, by a score of 4-1 tonight at Copps Coliseum.
Spencer Abbott's fourth goal of the season opened the scoring at 11:08 of the first period. Kory Nagy gave Toronto a 2-0 lead at 7:24 of the middle frame on his first goal as a Marlie. T.J. Brennan and Brad Ross added second period goals less than two minutes apart, extending Toronto's lead to four. Louis Leblanc notched Hamilton's lone goal just 26 seconds after the Marlies made it 4-0.
Toronto returns to the ice on Sunday afternoon when they host the St. John's IceCaps, AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, at 3 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
