B-Sens Release Madore, Sign Stein

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today they have released goaltender Rob Madore from his professional tryout contract. In addition, the B-Sens announced they have signed goaltender Russ Stein to a player tryout contract.

Madore, 25, signed with Binghamton on December 11 after playing 10 games this season with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the East Coast Hockey League. Madore dressed as backup to Binghamton starter Andrew Hammond in their 4-3 shootout loss to Hershey on Wednesday.

Stein, 24, has appeared in four games with the Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League going 1-1-0 with a 4.84 goals-against average and a 0.855 save percentage. Prior to playing with the Rivermen, Stein spent two seasons with Providence College of the Hockey East and two years with the Boston Jr. Bruins of the Eastern Junior Hockey League. Stein will travel with Binghamton when they visit the Utica Comets tonight for a 7:00p.m. contest.
