Goals:
- Ben Street intercepts a pass in his own end and goes in on a partial breakaway beating Connor Hellebuyck with a back hand shot at 18:04 of the first period.
- Duncan Siemens takes a slap shot from just inside the blue line which is tipped in front by Sam Henley past Hellebuyck at 2:35 of the second period.
- While on the powerplay, Scott Kosmachuk fakes a slap shot and goes around the Rampage defenceman, streaks in and takes a wrist shot that beats Reto Berra at 15:04 of the second period.
- Axel Blomqvist wins a puck battle behind the net and sends it out front to Jansen Harkins who one-times the puck past Berra at 16:15 of the second period.
- While on the powerplay, Axel Blomqvist beats a defender along the boards and sends the puck cross-ice to Jimmy Lodge who tips it past Berra at 19:26 of the third period.
- Jimmy Lodge streaks in the zone and stops at the top of the circle and fires a wrist shot that beats Berra at 8:59 of the third period.
- John Albert works the puck out of the corner and sends a back hand pass to Jimmy Lodge at the top of the circle. Lodge wrists one top shelf past Berra to complete the hat trick at 16:55 of the third period.
Highlights/Notes:
- Jimmy Lodge not only recorded his first career AHL goal but his first three with a natural hat-trick including the game winning goal. It was the third hat-trick for the Moose this season (C. De Leo, P. Cormier), all have taken place on the road.
- Jansen Harkins recorded his first career AHL goal which tied the game. Harkins has at least one point in back-to-back games.
- Scott Kosmachuk extended his point streak to three games with a goal and assist. It was his third straight multi-point game. He is now tied with Chase De Leo for the team lead in goals with 19. Kosmachuk has two goals and four assists for six points in his last three games.
- Chase De Leo extended his point streak to three games with an assist. In his last three games he has two goals and three assists for five points. In six games in April he has three goals and four assists for seven points. He is one point behind Brenden Kichton for the team lead in points with one game to play.
- Axel Blomqvist had his first career multi-point game with two assists. In his last two games he has three assists.
- Dan DeSalvo extended his point streak to seven games with an assist. During his point streak he has two goals and six assists for eight points.
- John Albert has at least one assist in three straight games and at least one assist in four out of his last five contests. With two assists it was his fifth multi-point game this season.
- Connor Hellebuyck made 18 saves in the victory. He has won seven of his last nine starts for the Moose.
- This was the third game in a row that the Moose powerplay has scored multiple goals with the man advantage. During this stretch they have gone 6-for-17, good for 35.3%.
- Since the start of February, the Moose are .500 with a record of 14-14-1-1.
- The Moose finish the season series against the Rampage with a perfect 4-0-0-0 record.
The Moose will wrap up their season on Saturday night when they travel to take on the Texas Stars at 7 p.m.
