
Panthers Recall Shaw from Portland

Portland, ME - Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon today announced the recall of forward Logan Shaw from the Portland Pirates. In addition, the Panthers have reassigned Rocco Grimaldi to Portland.
Shaw, a 6-foot-3, 204 pound right wing from Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, has played in 19 games with Portland this season, scoring 11 goals and three assists for 14 points. After being reassigned to the Pirates on April 2, Shaw scored four goals and added two assists for six points in six games. The 23 year-old scored at least one point in every game since his reassignment until he went scoreless in last night's 3-2 defeat against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
With Florida this season, Shaw played in 52 games, scoring five goals and two assists for seven points. He will join the Panthers ahead of Game 3 of their Atlantic Division Semifinal series against the New York Islanders at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York tomorrow.
Grimaldi, a 5-foot-6, 180 pound center from Rossmoor, California, rejoins the Pirates after being recalled on March 30. The 22 year-old has played in 20 regular season games with Florida this season, scoring three goals and two assists for five points. Grimaldi scored twice in the second period on April 4 against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre. He also played in the first two games of the Panthers' Atlantic Division Semifinal series against the New York Islanders.
With Portland this season, Grimaldi has played in 52 games, scoring 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 points. He will rejoin the Pirates in time for tonight's game at MassMutual Center against the Springfield Falcons.
