IceHogs to Meet Lake Erie in First Round of Calder Cup Playoffs

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, have announced the schedule of their first round series of the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs against the Lake Erie Monsters.

The IceHogs make their second-straight trip to the postseason and fifth overall during the AHL era. With a pair of wins heading into the final regular season game, Rockford finished third in the Central Division while the Monsters earned home ice advantage after taking the second spot in the division.

The first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs is a best-of-five series. Rockford has posted a 4-3-1-0 record against the Monsters this year.

The game schedule is as follows:

Game 3 Saturday, April 23 Lake Erie 6 p.m.

For tickets, purchase online at IceHogs.com, call (815) 968-5222, in person at the BMO?Harris Bank Center Box Office in downtown Rockford, or any Ticketmaster outlet, including Walmart. Individual game tickets for the first round start as low as $17. Fans can also purchase a "Playoff Pass" which is a ticket to each and every home postseason game during the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Season ticket holders will receive tickets for Games 1 and 2, labeled "Game A" and "Game B", free of charge as part of their package. The two complimentary tickets can be used for the first round only.

The games will be broadcast on WIFR's "Justice Network" on 23.3, as well as Comcast Cable channel 434, Charter Cable channel 194 or Mediacom Channel 102 in the Rockford market, beginning with "IceHogs Warm-Up" half an hour before game time with Bob Mills and Kyle Stuetzel, and online through AHLLive.com.
