Madore Returns to Solar Bears from Marlies

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that goaltender Rob Madore has been reassigned to the team from the Toronto Marlies, while forward Christopher Clapperton has been recalled to the Marlies. Additionally, the Solar Bears have waived goaltender Brandon Jaeger.

Madore, 27, has appeared in 13 games with the Solar Bears this season, sporting a 5-4-4 record with a 2.82 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. He was recalled to Toronto for the second time this season on Dec. 5, and subsequently appeared in his first game with the Marlies, making 23 saves in a 3-1 win over the Manitoba Moose that same day.

Clapperton, 21, has appeared in 17 games with Orlando this season, scoring three goals, two assists and adding 15 penalty minutes.

Jaeger, 25, originally signed with the Solar Bears on Dec. 10, but did not appear in game action with Orlando.

The Solar Bears host the Florida Everblades in a Wawa Sunshine Cup Series game as they continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson, P.A. on Sunday, Dec. 27 at 6:00 p.m. at the Amway Center.
