Week In Review
Thursday, Jan. 4
Augusta 3 vs. Gwinnett 2
The Lynx and Gladiators renewed a fierce rivalry on Thursday, with Augusta doing all its damage over the final 5:28 of the middle frame in a 3-2 win. Trailing 1-0, Augusta received goals from Ryan Lang, Louis Goulet, and Shane Hynes to wrap up the second period, with Lang and Hynes scoring in the final minute of play.
Friday, Jan. 5
Augusta 2 @ South Carolina 7
Augusta could only manage a pair of goals from Mike Erickson and Ryan Lang in a 7-2 loss to the Stingrays, the last time the Lynx travel to South Carolina during the regular season.
Saturday, Jan. 6
Augusta 7 vs. Johnstown 2
After giving up seven goals the previous evening, the Lynx responded with a seven-goal outburst of its own for a team season-high as they pasted the Johnstown Chiefs 7-2 Saturday night. Shane Hynes, Dirk Southern, Ryan Lang, Louis Goulet, and Brian Passmore all notched multiple-point games in the win, while Dave McKee stopped 28 shots for his third consecutive win. Augusta also extended its current home winning streak to five games.
Lynx Radio Hour
Due to the NCAA Football Championship game, there will be no Lynx Radio Hour this evening. The show normally airs live at Indigo Joe's, 3730 Wheeler Rd. in Augusta from 7-8 pm and will return next week. Don't forget you receive a free non-alcoholic beverage with your Black and Blue Burger! Come bring the family out to Indigo Joe's.
Upcoming Promotions
This Tuesday night is Metro Spirit Two-For-Tuesday Night, while Friday the Lynx are hosting Ladies Night! Saturday night is Scout Night, with discounts for Scouts through the Lynx office at (706) 724-4ICE. See you at the games!
Player and Goaltender of the Week Nominations
Dave McKee and Ryan Lang are Augusta's nominations for Player and Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 7, 2007. The ECHL will announce the winners later this week.
ALBC On The Road!
The Augusta Lynx Booster Club is heading to Gwinnett when the Lynx play the Gladiators on Sunday, February 11th. Trip cost is $50 per person, and includes transportation up and back, game ticket, and snacks. A stop for dinner will be made, time-permitting. Single seats may be purchased through the Lynx office at 551 Greene Street by calling (706) 724-4ICE or via all TicketMaster locations and on line at www.TicketMaster.com. Tickets are $18, $15, and $11, with discounts available for students, seniors, and military personnel. Fans may also still purchase full and partial season ticket plans by calling the office and speaking to a Lynx ticket representative.
