
Lukowich Recalled By Vancouver

Cedar Park, TX - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis, announced on Saturday that the Canucks have recalled defenseman Brad Lukowich from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
Lukowich, 33, has played 29 games with the AHL Stars this season, recording 18 points (3-15-18) and 10 penalty minutes. At the time of his recall, the veteran defender was tied for the team lead with 15 assists. In 640 NHL regular season games with five teams, Lukowich has 111 points (22-89-111) and 365 penalty minutes. During his NHL career, Lukowich has played for the Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks. Lukowich is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion, winning the cup in 1999 with Dallas and with Tampa Bay in 2004.
The 6-foot-1, 200 lbs. native of Cranbrook, BC, was acquired from the Sharks along with Christian Ehrhoff on August 28, 2009.
The Stars remain in Manitoba for one more road game on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 7:30 PM. Texas returns to the Cedar Park Center on Wednesday, Jan. 6 for a game against the Houston Aeros at 7:30 PM. On Tuesday, the first 2,000 fans will receive a Texas Stars rally towel. The Stars travel to Abbotsford, BC for back-to-back road games on Friday, Jan. 8 and Saturday, Jan. 9. All games can be heard on the Stars flagship station ESPNAustin 104.9 FM "The Horn" or ESPNAustin 1240-AM.
