Bulldogs Top AHL Team In 2009

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs held the best record in the American Hockey League in 2009 owning a.665 points percentage and holding a record of 51-24-4-3 for a total of 109 points in 82 regular season games played.

The 'Dogs finished the 2008-2009 season in second place in the North Division, third in the Western Conference and sixth overall in the AHL with a record of 49-27-4-0, tying a franchise record for most wins in a season. This season, Hamilton has a record of 22-8-2-3 which places the club in first place in the North Division and Western Conference and tied for second in the AHL even though the Bulldogs have the second best winning percentage in the league with a.700. The 'Dogs 49 points earned in 2009-2010 are the second most points attained by a Hamilton team by the end of December. The 2002-2003 Bulldogs squad holds the franchise record as they had 59 points with a record of 27-6-3-2.

The Bulldogs will host the Lake Erie Monsters tonight for a 7:00 p.m. game at Copps Coliseum.
