Bakersfield Condors News Release

Trenton, N.J. - Likit Andersson's third goal of the season with just 42 seconds remaining snapped a tie game and carried the Bakersfield Condors to a 4-3 victory over the Trenton Titans at the Sovereign Bank Arena on Wednesday night.

Two goals within two minutes of the first period gave the Titans the lead through the first 20 minutes. Mattieu Brunelle notched his 11th of the season against Yutaka Fukufuji with a partial break on the power play and Connor Dunlop tallied as well.

Bakersfield stormed back in the second, however. Connor James and Paul Rosebush scored just 50 seconds apart early in the middle stanza to make a new game out of it. They continued to pressure, and backstopped by Fukufuji's 14 second period saves, took the lead. Brett Lutes jammed in a rebound from the right side of the crease for his fifth of the season with just 42 seconds left in the period.

Trenton tallied their second power play goal of the night at 6:53 of the third to tie the game at 3- 3. The Titans had a late power play, which the Condors killed off and eventually turned into the game winning goal. As the penalty to Likit Andersson expired, he bolted from the box into the offensive zone after the loose puck. He pulled it out of the corner, cut to the bottom of the right circle and put his third goal of the year top shelf.

The Condors continue their East Coast swing with a game against the Reading Royals in Reading, Pennsylvania on Friday, January 7th at 4:05 p.m. Pacific Time. The Condors return home on Saturday, January 15th against Vegas once again for the final time they will be in town. That game is Nip & Puck Night, featuring a personal makeover giveaway, sponsored by Bright House Networks, The Big 96.5 and Shannti Medispa. One lucky fan will win a personal makeover valued at $8,000.
