Limpright Reassigned to Vegas; Bombers Acquire Defenseman

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL announced on Wednesday that SHAWN LIMPRIGHT was recalled by the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets and reassigned to the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) as part of a three team deal. The Bombers acquired defenseman SCOTT BASIUK from the South Carolina Stingrays in the deal.

Basiuk (pronounced BASS-ik) recorded 23 goals, 36 assists, 59 points and 138 penalty minutes in 128 career games at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The 6'2", 205 pound defenseman recorded 1 goal, 6 points and 28 penalty minutes with the South Carolina Stingrays this season.

The 24-year old Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native will wear jersey number 5 with the Bombers. He is expected to be available when Dayton returns to action against Toledo this weekend.

The Bombers return to the ice Friday night when they host the Toledo Storm on Scout Night at 7:00 PM. The "Coaches Corner Pre-Game Show" starts at 6:50 PM on SportsOne, WONE-AM 980 and at daytonbombers.com
